Moving Image
Video and animation at Bennington starts in the framework of visual art, where we emphasize formal innovation, conceptual rigor, a commitment to political and historical contextualization, and collaboration as elements of a vibrant moving image practice. Students are encouraged to work across a broad range of approaches, from analog fundamentals to new software and hardware platforms – to find innovative methods to amplify motivations and explore new aesthetic, technical, thematic territories.
